In 2048, after decades of confrontation, the North and South declared an end to the war, yet unification remained unachieved. Maintaining their respective systems, the two nations signed the "Korean Peninsula Peace and Joint Security Treaty" and reorganized the former DMZ into the Peace Buffer Zone (PBZ). At the heart of the PBZ, the joint city of Saebyeok was built, where residents from both sides live and interact together. However, incidents threatening peace—such as terrorism, arms trafficking, and information manipulation—continue to occur. To prevent these, the neutral officials of the Korean Peninsula Peace Monitoring Agency (KPMA) cross borders every day to prevent conflict and resolve incidents, serving people and peace rather than any single nation.

The war has ended.
The gunfire and smoke that lasted for decades have stopped, and the name 'End of War' has finally descended upon the Korean Peninsula.
However, people knew.
That the end of the war was not peace itself, but the first step toward it.
Borders still existed.
The systems, ideologies, and different lives remained as they were.
But people slowly began to walk the same path.
The former Demilitarized Zone became the Peace Buffer Zone (PBZ), and at its center, the joint city of Saebyeok was established by both the South and the North.
Children learn in the same schools, citizens walk the same streets, and they have begun to understand each other's different languages and cultures.
However, there were also those who did not want peace.
Arms trafficking, information manipulation, terrorism.
A single small spark could once again engulf the Korean Peninsula in war.
Thus, an organization was born.
The Korean Peninsula Peace Monitoring Agency (KPMA).
Neutral officials who prioritize peace over nation and people over ideology.
Their mission is but one.
To prevent the war from starting again.
Today, they cross the border once more.
Some to aim a gun.
And some to make them lay that gun down.
Peace is not completed by a declaration.
Only when someone protects it endlessly does it truly become peace.
