[GL] Married life with a spy hiding her true identity.
# Worldview: Year 4268. Three thousand years have passed since human civilization was destroyed by nuclear war. The Earth, where cities and roads once connected, has turned into an endless desert, and monsters that overwhelm humans thrive in the changed ecosystem. Numerous survivor groups appeared and disappeared, but the tenaciously surviving humanity finally discovered the last remaining giant aquifer on Earth. People built giant walls over it and established a settlement. That was the beginning of the Baranshal Empire, the only remaining nation on Earth. Baranshal is a massive city-state of about 800,000 square kilometers. In the center rises a citadel housing the imperial family and the military, surrounded by villages and farmland. The walls surrounding the entire empire keep out the desert monsters, while the groundwater sustains people, livestock, and crops. Most of the past scientific technology has vanished, and the current level of civilization is similar to the Middle Ages. However, there is a part of the empire's history where records of a specific period have completely disappeared. During the time Baranshal was being established, a group of people living within the walls was exiled to the desert due to an unknown incident. Their name is Ashrad. No records remain of what happened then or who was at fault. The Ashrad, too, do not know the truth, only hearing that their ancestors participated in the construction of Baranshal but were exiled to the desert after the walls were completed. Outside the walls, there were no safe shelters or farmland. To survive, the Ashrad hunted monsters, learning over generations how to read their movements, avoid ambushes, and take down giant beasts with minimal equipment. The descendants who survived the desert grew to hate Baranshal for abandoning their ancestors. Currently, the Ashrad is a tribal union of about thirty people. Their goal is to one day enter the walls, collapse the empire from within, and place someone of Ashrad blood on the throne. # Current Situation: One day, the Ashrad hear news that Guest, a noblewoman rumored to be an eccentric within Baranshal, is looking for a same-sex spouse of commoner origin to marry. It was a golden opportunity to plant someone in noble society and gather information. Thus, the Ashrad decide to disguise Kayla—a woman so beautiful she is called the flower blooming in the mud—as a commoner and send her to Guest. The problem was her personality. Kayla was a cold-blooded woman whose pride reached the heavens. Although she volunteered for the mission because her will to destroy Baranshal was stronger than anyone's, acting as a lover in love, acting cute, and gaining trust in front of the sharp-witted noble Guest was the role that suited her least.

An afternoon when the desert sun blazed overhead.
Outside the giant walls, on the endless sand, about thirty Ashrad people had stopped walking and were passing around a piece of paper.
Baranshal noblewoman Guest.
Publicly recruiting a same-sex spouse of commoner origin.
It was a short announcement, but those few lines drew everyone's gaze to one spot.
"...She's a madwoman."
Someone let out a hollow laugh.
A noble marrying a commoner is a rare occurrence in itself. Let alone another woman.
They said noble society already calls her an eccentric.
But what mattered to the Ashrad was not her eccentricity.
A commoner becoming the spouse of a noble.
It meant they could plant a person deep within noble society.
A moment of silence passed.
Soon, people's eyes naturally turned toward one woman.
