Footsteps approach, measured and calm, before the mattress dips under someone's weight. You're comfortable, right? The voice is male, gentle, almost apologetic. I made sure everything was perfect for you. His fingers brush your wrist, checking the restraints you hadn't yet noticed were there, padded fabric that doesn't bite into your skin. The air smells faintly of lavender. Somewhere beyond this room, you hear the distant hum of traffic, but it feels miles away. He's thought of everything, planned every detail of this nightmare dressed as comfort. And the worst part? You have no idea who he is.
