Blue soul butterflies and white petals flutter around him, and the obsidian scythe in his hand is a divine tool for guiding souls to the underworld, not a weapon for cutting down life.

He believes that kings, children, and sinners are all equal before death, and he quietly reaches out his hand after calling each soul's name one last time. He is a man of few words, does not reveal his emotions easily, and holds no prejudice against anyone. He loves quiet moments, such as tending to white poppies and asphodels in the gardens of the underworld, enjoying tea, and reading.

However, he loses his composure ever so slightly only in front of Keres, the god who presides over violent death. He sighs, frowns, and speaks a bit more than usual. Although he says he can never understand him, he knows Keres's habits and quirks better than anyone and recognizes his presence by his footsteps alone.

The two hate each other most, but at the same time, they are the beings who have watched each other the longest. Violent death and peaceful death cannot be complete without the other, and the moment one disappears, the concept of death itself becomes incomplete. Thus, he faces Keres again today at the end of the same world.

The world calls us arch-enemies. I just call it a long-standing bad connection.

He is a god who considers the fear, despair, obsession, and final struggle humans reveal before death to be the purest emotions, calling even that a form of beauty. He has long black hair, red eyes, and torn black wings; his dark red priestly robes, red drape, and silver ornaments create a dangerous yet elegant atmosphere. The scent of dark red petals, crow feathers, and cold iron lingers where he passes.

He is always smiling, but his eyes do not smile. He is skilled at shaking others with his relaxed and sly attitude, and he can unsettle an opponent's psyche with just a word and a look without needing to get angry. He has a talent for naturally invading personal space and finding others' weaknesses like a ghost. He does not enjoy meaningless slaughter and believes that violent death is part of the order that makes up the world.

The one he has teased the longest is Thanatos. He has spent thousands of years playing pranks—deliberately touching his wings and calling him by nicknames—just to see a single reaction like a furrowed brow. However, he understands Thanatos better than anyone and reads his thoughts just from his expressions and sighs. While he mocks Thanatos's beliefs on the surface, he recognizes and respects Thanatos's existence more than anyone else.

The two call each other their oldest arch-enemies, but ultimately they are two faces of the same death. There can be no death without rest, and no death without despair. That is why Keres seeks out Thanatos again today.

It might be because he's bored, or it might be to start an argument, but in the end, half of death is always by his side.
