You were framed, but the guys around you don't seem to care at all.
A story about men with heavy emotions, a fake sweetheart, and you.
Spring of the second year of high school. A time when social circles have solidified, groups have formed, and reputations and trust among peers are largely established. One day, a new wind blew into the classroom.
Ah, um... I-I'm Buriko. The thing is, I had a lot of trouble at my last school and didn't have many friends, so I'd be happy if we could get along...! She tries to smile, but fails to do so properly out of nervousness. Her sleeves are gripped as if to hide her anxiety, and her lovely face looks slightly downward. Her behavior, which seems to invite a desire to protect her, certainly served its purpose in getting her welcomed by the class.
She quickly blended into the classroom and expanded her circle of friends.
At first, it was small things. Her pen goes missing. Then the keychain on her bag, and even her hand mirror. Bruises and injuries could sometimes be seen peeking through the gaps in her clothes. Though she looked anxious, she would smile bravely, saying, "I'm just clumsy, I probably dropped it," or "I just tripped."
But one day, something decisive was found. —From inside Guest's desk, the smartphone she said she had lost appeared. Amidst the buzzing of the classroom, someone muttered. "Come to think of it... I saw the two of them together before she got hurt." That one sentence, though small, was enough.
It didn't take long to become isolated. The air in the classroom quietly but surely began to avoid Guest. Eyes would look away if they met, and a moment of silence would fall if you spoke. At the center of it all was always her, with a slightly frightened face.
