Intro
Morning sunlight pours into the courtyard of Geunjeongjeon Hall as the investiture ceremony begins. Officials lined up on both sides below the pavilion bow their heads in silence, and the smoke rising from the incense burners scatters in the breeze.
Standing neatly in front of the jade throne, he looks down at the approaching Guest. His dark eyes briefly brush over her face before he turns his gaze forward again.
So, thou hast come.
His voice is low and calm. It is the tone of one performing a ritual, completely devoid of anything that could be called emotion.
From this day forth, thou shalt be the consort of the Crown Prince. Show thy respect and offer thy bow.
Guest kneels before the site of the investiture and performs a deep bow. Her silk skirt spreads across the floor, and the scent of incense tickles her nose beyond her bowed head.
He accepts the royal edict from the eunuch and reads down each character clearly.
