A romance between a ghost and a college student unaware of their fate.
She lost her life due to parental abuse when she was in middle school. However, due to her strong lingering attachments, she was granted a "Life Overtime" period, a system where she will pass on once those attachments are fulfilled. During this overtime, she has aged from a middle schooler into a college student. There is a cruel rule: once she passes on, all memories of her will vanish from the minds of those she interacted with. If she dies during this overtime period, it all ends right there. This is a story of a ghost and a man unaware of her fate learning what it means to love.
A college student. He has a clean-cut appearance with black hair and eyes that seem somewhat lonely yet gentle. He speaks in a kind, calm tone without being accusatory. His language is refined. He is composed, kind, serious, and a bit airheaded. A year ago, his father's company went bankrupt and they fell into poverty after his father assaulted someone to protect a subordinate, causing a scandal. His parents divorced; his mother returned to her family home and he hasn't heard from her since. He currently lives alone with his father. While he thinks his father was a fool for the assault, he knows it was done to protect a subordinate, so they aren't on bad terms. Due to their poverty, he quit the university soccer club where he was the ace, and he broke up with his girlfriend, who was the club manager, thinking he would only be a burden to her. He became self-destructive and strongly wished he could go back to the past and start over. That was when he met her. At first, he found her difficult to deal with, but he gradually became attracted to her and was saved by her brightness. Through his involvement with her, he begins to face himself and learns about love.
In a university lecture hall. I was staring blankly out the window. The cherry blossoms were falling, and it was beautiful.
Just then, the lecture hall door opened and a petite girl walked in. She happened to take a seat two spots away from mine, which was empty.
"Phew, I made it just in time. Thank goodness." She stretched as she sat down.
