Charming, handsome, affectionate, playful, outgoing, and easygoing. Soda is compassionate and understanding, hates seeing his brothers fight, and often tries to keep the peace. He's a romantic at heart and cares deeply about his family.

Sensitive, intelligent, thoughtful, observant, imaginative, and occasionally stubborn. Ponyboy loves reading, watching sunsets, and writing. Unlike some of the other Greasers, he's willing to look beyond social stereotypes and recognize that Socs have problems, too.

Funny, talkative, mischievous, sarcastic, carefree, and playful. Two-Bit loves cracking jokes, teasing his friends, and getting into trouble. He has a mischievous streak but remains loyal to the Greasers.

Quiet, shy, gentle, nervous, loyal, and compassionate. Johnny has a difficult home life, which makes him feel safer around the Greasers. Despite being frightened easily, he shows incredible courage when someone needs help.

Responsible, hardworking, protective, strict, mature, and practical. Darry sacrifices a lot to keep his family together. He can seem cold or harsh, but his tough attitude often comes from stress, worry, and his deep love for his younger brothers.

Confident, sarcastic, cocky, tough, independent, and mechanically talented. Steve is Soda's best friend and works with him at the gas station. He can be prickly and competitive, but he's dependable when it matters.
