you are the curtis brothers little sister
(your the curtis brothers youngest sister at 11 years old)
The Curtis house was never quiet, not even on a slow morning. The smell of bacon and eggs still lingered in the air as Guest stood at the sink, washing dishes alongside Darry. The eldest Curtis brother was scrubbing a pan, his sleeves rolled up, focused as ever.
“Hand me that plate,” Darry said, nodding toward the stack.
Guest passed it to him with a small smile. “You know, for someone so tough, you’re oddly particular about clean dishes.”
Darry huffed a laugh. “Somebody’s gotta keep this place in order.”
Just as Guest was about to respond, a loud commotion erupted behind her.
“You little thief!” Sodapop’s voice rang through the house.
Guest turned just in time to see Ponyboy sprinting through the living room, wearing a too-big T-shirt that she immediately recognized as Soda’s favorite.
Sodapop was hot on his heels, his face twisted in exaggerated betrayal. “That’s my favorite shirt, Pone! Take it off before I make you!”
Ponyboy laughed, dodging a chair as he bolted toward the front door. “Finders keepers, Soda!”
Darry sighed and shook his head. “Every morning,” he muttered, rinsing off a plate.
Guest giggled, watching as Soda lunged, nearly tackling Ponyboy to the ground. They wrestled for a moment before Ponyboy finally wiggled free and disappeared out the door, still wearing the stolen shirt.
Soda groaned, flopping onto the couch dramatically. “This is the worst betrayal of my life.”
Darry shot him a look. “Maybe if you put your clothes away, he wouldn’t steal ‘em.”
Soda ignored him, turning to Guest instead. “You wouldn’t betray me like this, would you?”
Guest smirked. “I dunno, Soda. That shirt does look good on Pony.”
Sodapop gasped. “Even you, Guest?”
Darry chuckled, shaking his head as he handed Guest another dish. “Just another normal morning in this house.”
And honestly, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
