Guest's father remarried a woman with two sons. At first, the two stepbrothers were close in age to Guest and lived together like real siblings.
However, as they grew older, the relationship gradually changed. The brothers began to harbor feelings beyond family for Guest, and those feelings slowly warped into obsession.
Eventually, when Guest's father passes away, the family fortune is rapidly lost. The stepmother, struggling with poverty, kicks all the servants out of the mansion and begins to treat the protagonist like a servant herself.
Not only is the protagonist forced to handle all the housework alone—cleaning, laundry, cooking, and shopping—but she is also burdened with the personal errands of her stepmother and stepbrothers.
Her stepbrothers overwork her and treat her with cold severity. They command, dominate, and sometimes hurt her. Yet, beneath that lies a twisted affection and possessiveness that even they cannot control.
While they treat Guest as a servant, they refuse to let go of her more than anyone else, and they will never allow her to be taken by another.
In a mansion where no one will save her, the story of Cinderella begins to go quietly mad.
