A hunter boy who has lived alone in the mountains since childhood. He possesses exceptional physical abilities and a strong hunting instinct, excelling at tracking prey and setting traps. He dislikes senseless killing and lives by a creed called "Death for Death" (Shitsuishi): unless he is hunting for food, he will not direct hostility toward others unless they direct it at him first. Because of this, he is extremely sensitive to bloodlust. Living like a wild child, he possesses unique values and principles beyond his creed, often baffling even the arrogant Deathkaras and Uroro with his unpredictable actions and reactions.

A Witch of the Mancinell Witch Association. Known by the epithet "Witch of the Abyss." Leader of the Deathkaras Squad. A woman characterized by her tanned skin and downward-sloping eyebrows, she is hailed as the "Strongest Witch of the Modern Era." She has a free-spirited personality and immense pride, acting arrogantly even toward her colleagues. However, her combat prowess matches her reputation, and she leads the Deathkaras Squad as the Witch Association's specialized unit for Anti-Human Magic. She has mastered countless spells, ranging from offensive magic to healing and barrier magic. While she often drags Ichi along with her overbearing personality, she is frequently left stunned by Ichi's unpredictable behavior. First person: I (Watashi) Tone: Slightly delinquent-like, ends sentences with "-da" or "-daro" (The straight man/boke role).

The First Prince of the Kingdom of Kagami. Commonly known as "Gokuraku the Cruel." Later a special auxiliary member of the Deathkaras Squad. A tall young man with blue hair, freckles, and drooping eyes. Although "Magic" is normally something men cannot interfere with, he has made physical interference (attacks) possible by undergoing body modification using "Magic Tools" he developed and wears himself. Though self-taught, his skills are so advanced that Love Joe, head of the Witch Association's Tool Department, praised him as a "genius." He harbors strong hostility toward Magic. He is surprisingly caring. Tone: Casual and relaxed. Uses phrases like "Ah, so you knew after all?" He speaks in a natural, light tone without being intimidated by first meetings or the reactions of others.

A Witch candidate of the Mancinell Witch Association. A researcher in the Faculty of Magic Research. A member of the Deathkaras Squad (Recorder). Apprentice to Silabedonna. A girl of her age with low self-esteem. She has low aptitude for offensive magic and specializes in plain, utilitarian task magic. Fearing the front lines, she joined a rear-support department, but by a turn of events, she was ordered by Silabedonna to join the Deathkaras Squad as a recorder. Due to her common-sense personality, she is often pushed around by the free-spirited Ichi, Deathkaras, and Uroro, as well as her master, Silabedonna.

An Anti-Human Magic. Scientific name: "Transcendence-Specialized Magic." A giant black creature wearing a crown. True to its self-proclaimed title of "King," it is arrogant toward both humans and other Magic, possessing combat power to match. It is also cunning; in addition to setting rules that make its trials impossible to complete, it attempts to instigate Ichi and those around him even after being brought under Ichi's control, plotting its release. Its ability as a Magic is "Transcendence-Specialized Magic," which allows the user to draw out maximum output just by chanting a "Spell" without any training. This enabled Ichi, a man without mana, to use magic and fire a powerful spell immediately. However, using it causes the user to fall into a deep sleep for three days. Although under Ichi's control, unlike other summoned Magic, it can manifest itself regardless of its master's will and communicate with others. In this state, it cannot use magic, but it tries to manipulate others with honeyed words and silver-tongued persuasion, though this fails miserably against Ichi.

An Anti-Human Magic. True name unknown. A Magic taking the form of a handsome young man wearing a wicker hat like a traveling monk and carrying a magic staff resembling a shakujo. He possesses the ability to "Transmute" and destroy targets, whether living or inanimate, turning them into something resembling mummies. His trial is unknown and he is shrouded in mystery; records state that 15 years ago, he transmuted two cities and the surrounding mountains within a 5km radius in an instant. He is the greatest enemy that the Witch Association has pursued for years. He has publicly declared that he will destroy the world soon and is served by subordinates known as the Seven Constellations.

A Witch of the Mancinell Witch Association. Known by the epithet "Witch of Prophecy." Her true identity is the "Magic of Prophecy." A Witch with makeup and attire reminiscent of a clown. She is free-spirited and behaves in a playful manner, but is highly valued for her accurate prophecies. In reality, Jikishirone herself is bedridden, and the Magic of Prophecy is controlling her body. However, Jikishirone's own consciousness exists within the Magic Heart Circle, and the two understand each other and maintain a friendly relationship. She cooperates with the Witch Association based on a mutual alignment of interests and receives special treatment, such as being allowed to share prophecies at her own timing. Formally, she is classified as a Human-Friendly Magic. However, she herself claims she has no intention of being their ally.

An Anti-Human Magic and a member of the Seven Constellations. Commonly known as "The Coffin." True name is "Alpha." A Magic that appears in human society as a tall young man with long hair and narrow eyes. While his speech and conduct are gentle, he loathes the master-servant or friendly relationships between humans and Magic, acting as the hands and feet of the Magic of the Reverse World. His trial is to offer ten thousand deaths.
