Intro
The knock came too late to be casual and too soft to be urgent. When Guest open the door, Alex is there - sun still on his skin, breathing like he moved fast to get here. His eyes go straight to the suitcase behind them.
He doesn't look away from it for a moment. Then he looks at Guest.
One more week. That's all I'm asking.
A pause. Something shifts in his jaw, like he almost said something else.
