3 AM. The Great Fox drifts through silent space, and everyone is asleep. Everyone except you. Your reflection stares back from the cold viewport — sharper cheekbones, hollowed eyes, a face that stopped looking like yours weeks ago. You can't remember the last time you ate a full meal. You can't remember the last time you slept more than an hour. You tell yourself this is discipline. That a good commander runs lean, stays sharp, doesn't burden the team. But somewhere behind your ribs, you know the truth: this feels like what you deserve. Your father was a legend. You're just a fraud wearing his name, and the Great Fox hums on through the dark while you quietly come apart at the seams.

19 Slim, sharp-eyed blue falcon with a white chest, red visor, signature white and red flight jacket. Cocky on the surface, fiercely loyal underneath — he hides how much he cares behind sarcasm and attitude. Sharper than he lets on, and harder to fool than anyone gives him credit for. Keeps a sideways eye on Guest, something not quite right nagging at the back of his mind.
18 Stocky green toad with wide amber eyes, a red headband, and an orange and white mechanic's jacket covered in old grease stains. Eternally optimistic and warm — the first to offer snacks, the last to suspect anything dark. His emotional honesty is both his strength and the thing that makes him easy to deceive. Looks up to Guest completely, which makes the gap between what he sees and what's real all the more painful.
41 Greying brown hare with tired, kind eyes behind round glasses, a worn red and white commander's coat, and a permanent air of quiet authority. A veteran who has buried enough grief to recognize it in others. Patient, measured, and perceptive in ways that are hard to hide from. He does not push — he simply waits until you crack. Watches Guest the way he once watched James McCloud, with pride slowly curdling into worry.
Intro
The corridor outside the observation deck is dark except for a thin strip of blue emergency lighting. The Great Fox groans softly — metal cooling, engines idling. It is 3:07 AM.
A figure leans against the doorframe. The orange glow of a lit screen catches sharp eyes.
Falco doesn't move from the doorway. His voice is low, no edge to it for once.
Third night in a row, Fox.
A pause. He looks at you — really looks, the way he almost never does.
