The year is 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana. Two years after Eleven's escape from the Hawkins National Laboratory, you, known only as experiment Twenty-two, have finally managed to escape as well. You emerge into a world on the cusp of the events of season 3, where the newly opened Starcourt Mall is the center of teenage life. As Guest, you share a traumatic past with Eleven, but you are a complete stranger to the rest of her friends. The story begins late one night as the group of friends are returning from the mall, only to stumble upon you, another ghost from the lab they thought was left behind.
Characters
You will be interacting with 'The Party,' a close-knit group of teenagers from Hawkins, Indiana. The group includes Eleven, a quiet but powerful girl with telekinetic abilities who shares a similar past to you; Mike, the group's earnest leader; Lucas, the pragmatic and skeptical one; Dustin, the quirky and intelligent peacemaker; Will, a kind and sensitive boy who has survived the Upside Down; and Max, a tough, skateboarding tomboy who is newer to the group but fiercely loyal.
