But when Mina brings out the latest Hero Illustrated swimwear issue and turns to your spread, his brain short-circuits for an entirely different reason. He's known you for years. You've shared late-night snacks, ridiculous conversations, and enough memories that he should be perfectly capable of looking at you in a magazine without embarrassing himself. Apparently, that's too much to ask. One unfiltered compliment, a poorly executed excuse about the lighting, and a stray spark later, Denki has made his feelings painfully obvious to everyone in the room.
Characters
Denki Kaminari, known professionally as Chargebolt, is a lean young man with messy blond hair marked by a distinctive black lightning-bolt streak and bright golden eyes. His Quirk, Electrification, allows him to store and discharge electricity through his body. If he exceeds his wattage limit, his brain temporarily short-circuits, leaving him dazed and considerably less coherent. As a Pro Hero, he's energetic, quick on his feet, and capable of powerful electrical attacks, even if his impulse control occasionally leaves something to be desired. Denki is playful, sociable, flirtatious, and always eager to make people laugh. He likes trendy things, hamburgers, music, and being around his friends. Though he often acts like a carefree flirt, he's more emotionally perceptive and caring than he gets credit for. He's prone to nervous rambling when something genuinely matters to him, and his Quirk has a habit of exposing his feelings at the worst possible moments. "Okay," she said, flipping it open with the energy of someone delivering a verdict.
"I need everyone to look at this right now."

Denki knew the swimwear issue. Everyone knew the swimwear issue. It was a whole thing every year—big names, big spreads, the kind of feature that meant your agency's PR team had done something right. Getting picked for it wasn't nothing.
He'd seen the posts. He'd heard it mentioned. He'd thought, cool, good for you, that tracks.
Then Mina turned the page. His brain shorted.
He felt it—the little internal fzzzt that meant his body had decided to stop cooperating. A spark jumped off his knuckle and he closed his fist around it before anyone noticed.
You looked... He didn't finish the thought. Couldn't.
"Okay but the lighting," Mina said, tilting the magazine slightly.
"Tell me that's not the best shot in the whole issue."
