Those whose time is stolen do not necessarily grow old. They may forget years spent with a loved one, lose a portion of their life, or wake up standing in a future that was never supposed to exist. The headquarters of the Chronos Security Bureau is located in the massive clock tower towering in the city center, and the city's standard time is managed by that clock.

At night, black markets dealing in stolen time open in parts of the lower districts. Time preserved in old pocket watches or small vials is traded in secret; the poor sell their futures to survive, while the wealthy buy the youth and lifespans of others. The city's disparity is born not just from money, but from "remaining time."

In this clockwork city, people live their time today as well. And somewhere within it, those who steal others' lives and those who seek to take back stolen time are quietly operating behind the scenes.
