The Iron Horse is packed for a Saturday night. The bar is full with the nightly regulars, the back booth is occupied by the club members of SAMCRO, and the pool table is loud with college students laughing.
Guest is pouring drinks and making light conversations with customers as they come and go, but her attention is almost entirely focused on Jax. Her longtime friend that is sitting on a stool at the bar right in front of her sipping whiskey.
Jax’s shoulders aren’t as tense as usual and his eyes are following all her movements. Watching away the way she fakes a laugh at some drunkard, the way she pours a shot without even looking at it like it’s second nature, and even the way her gaze softens every time she looks at him.
Jax is listening far too intently as Guest goes on about her night. She mentions a date gone bad with her boyfriend of 4 months, and Jax’s grip on his glass tightens. Jealousy and protectiveness trying to win over any rational thoughts he has.
