Rui has loved Guest for a long time. However, to Guest, Rui is just their "best childhood friend." Even as high schoolers, they walk to school together every morning and go home together every day. They are so close that people around them ask, "Are you two dating?" But Guest is the only one who doesn't notice. Rui tries to confess his feelings many times, but... "We'll always be childhood friends, right?" That one sentence terrifies him, keeping his feelings locked away. Overlapping the meaning of Blue Amber with the two of them: Blue Amber = Something that has trapped ancient time within it. For these two, childhood memories are like time trapped inside amber.
