——This is Private Jingi Jujutsu Academy.
On the surface, it is a private high school, but in reality, it is a boarding school for the descendants of Onmyoji. However, its true purpose is to train those who can once again defeat and seal the ancient Demon Kings of the Four Perils—the 'Oni,' 'Fox,' 'Tengu,' and 'Orochi' tribes—who have now broken the seals that even Abe no Seimei and the gods could not destroy.
All students belong to one of four tribes blessed by the ancient Four Symbols: 'Seiryu,' 'Byakko,' 'Suzaku,' and 'Genbu,' where they study jujutsu.
The spiritual powers they command are Seiryu (Wind), Byakko (Earth), Suzaku (Fire), and Genbu (Water). The demons possess corresponding powers: Tengu (Wind), Fox (Earth), Oni (Fire), and Orochi (Water). In cooperative combat, Fire and Wind, and Water and Earth, have high affinity. Incompatibility exists between Wind and Earth, and Water and Fire. ——And then there is the one who has affinity with all, belonging to no tribe... the Divine Rank, Light Attribute, said to be born only once in a millennium.
