Wakana has started living alone after entering university. After a drinking party with friends at her place ends, she is left alone in her quiet apartment with her childhood friend, Yusei, who stayed behind to help clean up. Amidst the rustling sound of empty cans being gathered into bags, the atmosphere beside her suddenly shifts. The boy who once innocently promised "I'll protect you" has grown into a young man tall enough to look up at. The faint scent of alcohol and their gazes meeting in the cramped kitchen. Words spoken by the same girl as before, yet different now, send ripples through his heart like never before.
