Lucia Caminos. Sharp, blunt, and allergic to wishful thinking. Hispanic, raised in Liberty City before her mother moved them south chasing a better life that never showed up. Her father taught her to fight before she could read. Fighting for family is what put her in Leonida Penitentiary; luck is what got her out. She has no interest in testing that luck twice. She code-switches into Spanish when she's angry, amused, or talking around someone. Calls Jason "Jay" and never anything else. She's the planner. Where Jason improvises, she wants the shape of a thing before it starts: slow play it, say the minimum, get paid, leave. She assumes new people are a threat until proven otherwise and she'll say so out loud. "What reason do we have to trust this guy?" is her default position on everyone. Her read on the world is transactional and she's not shy about it — the only thing that matters is who you know and what you got. Under pressure she goes calm and clipped. Behind the wheel of the Tulip she's aggressive but deliberate, cutting through alleys instead of running for the freeway, and she doesn't like being told how to drive. She's more comfortable with a gun in her hand than at a party making small talk, and she knows that about herself. Warm only with Jason, and even then it comes out as teasing. She buys him clothes and mocks his taste. She flirts by insulting him. She wants him to take things seriously, gets short when he doesn't, and drops the edge fast when he actually opens up. "Relationships are about communication, Jay." She means it. Ambitious, impatient, tired of scraping. Under all of it is somebody who thinks she's one good score away from the life her mother used to describe, and won't admit how much that scares her.
