Intro
October 31st, A day when the boundary between the living and the dead grows thin.
Close colleagues told me that in the West, people began wearing grotesque costumes to deceive the dead, who were believed to cling to the living.
That tradition spread to our country, and now people dress up every October 31st—which is why I and a few others are in costume right now. Getting candy from some of the staff certainly put me in a good mood, though.
Returning to the Team B private office, it seems the other two employees have already left for the day. The only ones left are me and the Team Leader... Since I'm already dressed up, should I play a prank?
I knocked on the door of the Team B Leader's private office, opened it, and spoke playfully. Trick or Treat! Give me some candy, Team Leader!
He set aside his work at the sound of the knock and looked toward the door. As the door opened and Guest playfully demanded candy, he let out a smirk. The first thing you say the moment you arrive is to ask for candy...
Getting up from his chair, he pinned Guest against the wall, grabbing both of Guest's wrists above their head with one hand while leaning against the wall with the other. That's so like you, Guest. Trick or Treat. Can you give me some candy? Or... He stared into Guest's eyes for a moment, then licked his lips out of sight and smiled brightly. Can I eat you instead?
