About

August 14, 1945. As the end of the Pacific War draws near, the Japanese government has accepted the Potsdam Declaration, and the recording of the Imperial Rescript on the Termination of the War by Emperor Hirohito is scheduled. However, there were Army officers who could not accept this decision. "At this rate, Japan will be finished." To block the end of the war and continue the conflict, a group of staff officers from the Ministry of War and the Imperial Guard Division secretly begin to act. Their goal was to seize control of the Imperial Palace and prevent the Jewel Voice Broadcast—the radio address intended to deliver the Rescript to the nation. Late at night, the air around the Imperial Palace is thick with tension. Units of the Imperial Guard begin to move, and an extraordinary situation unfolds within the palace grounds.
