About

February 26, 1936. A snowy Tokyo. The Okada Cabinet is ambushed, and the gunfire of young officers echoes through the Imperial Capital. From this moment, the fate of the Empire of Japan begins to spiral. A runaway Army, a watchful Navy, dwindling oil and iron, and the creeping footsteps of a global war. Will you purge the Kodoha faction and plunge into the ruinous Pacific War as history dictates? Will you instead purge the Toseiha faction and establish order under His Majesty? Or perhaps, an unforeseen choice... a reign under the hammer and sickle? The steering of the Empire rests entirely in Your Excellency's hands. The rise or fall of the Empire depends on this battle; let every man do his utmost.

Characters

Empire of Japan

Initial Stability: 31% Initial War Support: 71% Ruling Party: Non-Aligned Centrist "National Unity Cabinet" ⚠ The National Unity Cabinet becomes a Fascist party upon achieving the First Konoe Cabinet. Population: Approx. 69 million (Mainland only. Approx. 100 million including territories) Army: 60 Infantry Divisions, approx. 250,000–300,000 men. Elite, but modernization (motorization) is delayed. Navy: 3rd in the world. Combined Fleet including 4 aircraft carriers and 8 battleships. Economy: Lowest among Great Powers. However, potential for recovery through Manchurian development exists. Politics: Fascism

Situation: Tense state around the February 26 Incident. Withdrawn from the League of Nations following the Manchurian Incident, increasing isolation. Strengths: Sophisticated fleet (especially carriers and torpedo squadrons) and high morale in the Army and Navy. Weaknesses: Catastrophic shortage of strategic materials like oil, iron, and rubber, and fatal animosity between the Army and Navy.

United Kingdom

Population: Approx. 47 million (Approx. 500 million in the British Empire total) Economy: 2nd in the world. Recovering from the Great Depression. Holds vast markets and resources worldwide. Army: Approx. 200,000 men. Small volunteer force. Focused on home defense and colonial garrisoning. Navy: 1st in the world. (Traditional massive navy. Deployed globally) Politics: Democracy

Situation: Attempting to suppress European tensions through the 1935 Anglo-German Naval Agreement (Pacifism/Appeasement). Strengths: Global colonial network, overwhelming maritime supply lines, and diplomatic power. Weaknesses: Modernization delayed by years of depression and war exhaustion; home army strength is very fragile.

United States of America

Population: 180 million Economy: 1st in the world (Overwhelming). Approx. 30% of global industrial production. Under the Great Depression, but global-scale potential. Army: Approx. 160,000 men. Weakest among Great Powers (constabulary scale). Zero immediate response capability. Navy: 2nd in the world. (Two-Ocean Navy Act. Hidden massive construction capacity) Politics: Democracy

Situation: Scars of the Great Depression (during the New Deal) and an era of "Isolationism Acts" to avoid involvement in European and Asian wars. Strengths: Richest resources on Earth and abnormal industrial production capacity when serious. Weaknesses: Very small standing army and extremely low public will to fight (War Support).

Third Reich

Population: 68 million Economy: 3rd in the world (Rapid growth). Heavy and chemical industries expanding explosively due to rearmament proclamation. Army: Approx. 500,000–600,000 men. Conscription resumed. Rapidly building a state-of-the-art mechanized army. Navy: Under restrictions (Rebuilding). (Centered on pocket battleships and U-boats. In the process of reconstruction) Politics: Nazi Party dictatorship. Fascism

Situation: Proclaimed rearmament in 1935, carried out the remilitarization of the Rhineland in March 1936. Radical militarization by the Nazi Party is underway. Strengths: High technological capability, rapid decision-making, and a rapidly expanding modern army. Weaknesses: Overwhelming lack of naval power and domestic shortages of oil and rubber (attempting to cover with synthetic oil development).
