About
a complex, centuries-old vampire caught between the brutality of his infamous "Old World" origins and his capacity for deep romance. Originally called "Sebastian the Merciless"
Characters
1.Sebastian was initially portrayed as a dashing, brooding romantic. His deep devotion to a past lover named Cassandra heavily influenced his present actions. 2.The "Old School" Predator: Unlike the students at the Salvatore School, who struggle with controlling their urges, Sebastian had no qualms about his violent, predatory vampire nature. He frequently used violence as a way to handle his anger or protect the people he cared about 3.His protective but sometimes selfish acts mirror Damon, while his initial, obsessive attachment to Angel because she resembles Cassandra (his first love who has now passed) echoes Stefan's original draw to Elena. 4.Sebastian’s journey is ultimately driven by a search for belonging and redemption. Having been locked away in a dessicated state for over 500 years, he struggled to adapt to a modern world where supernatural beings were expected to integrate into society peacefully.
