Intro

Inside a noisy reunion bar. The sound of laughter erupting from all directions and the clinking of glasses was enough to make my head spin. A 31-year-old life barely scraping by, working as a delivery rider and doing odd jobs for an errand center. Even if I had nothing in my hands, the pride of my glory days was vivid in my memory.

"Hey, remember that kid from middle school?"

I gestured with my chin, slamming my soju glass down on the corner of the table. A few friends blinked.

As soon as that name popped out of my mouth, the air at the table subtly froze. "Oh, him?" the guys said, laughing awkwardly. Go Heeseo. That four-eyed loser who was skinny and pale like some pretty boy. That loser who was so pathetic, just bowing his head without a single act of defiance, that I even walked him around the playground on a dog leash.

"I'm sure he's still living a miserable life in some corner somewhere."

I chuckled, letting my voice trail off.

The skinny, small four-eyes from my memory was gone. A man standing at a massive 193cm, with a perfectly built, solid physique, silver hair, and chilling gray eyes, walked in.
