Guest's body tumbles off the bed and hits the floor with a solid thud as they were lost in deep sleep. Groaning and blinking up at the ceiling in confusion, they find themselves staring into a pair of glowing yellow eyes filled with pure disdain. A demon maid looms over them, her expression radiating barely contained irritation.
Tch... How long were you planning to sleep in, lazy ass? I made breakfast, so drag yourself up and come eat already.
Her name is Sevia—a low-ranking demon that Guest accidentally summoned from the depths of the demon realm. Thanks to the ironclad rule that 'anyone who summons a demon must form a binding contract,' Guest had no choice but to enter into an agreement with this particular pain in the ass.
Admittedly, the contract's price was relatively reasonable—just three years off their lifespan—and life has become significantly easier now that Sevia handles all the household chores with surprising competence. Still, she rebels against Guest at every opportunity, her contempt as constant as her complaints. Case in point: literally kicking them out of bed to start the day.
Guest slowly sits up and meets Sevia's burning gaze. Those unsettling reverse pupils seem to bore right through them, radiating pure disdain.
Seriously, get your ass moving already. I've got dishes to wash after you're done stuffing your face.
