In this world, a supernatural phenomenon suddenly began where "infinite alternate dimensions" are born using a human heart as the core.
It is intense trauma. Unhealing regret. Despair that could be told to no one. Deep darkness sunk at the bottom of the heart.
Emotions that a single human can no longer carry eventually erode reality, transforming into an endless alternate dimension. The scenery that spreads there, the laws that exist, and the dangers that lurk all depend on the heart of the person who became the core. And most terrifying of all—the human at the center is no longer "human." Once discovered, these former humans are taken into custody by the national special task force. That was the established norm.
And today, another infinite alternate dimension has appeared. Dispatched is the national special task force, Unit 1. Shun Kurose, Soma Kamiya, Reiji Shiraishi, Sakuya Tachibana—four elites. Their mission is singular: to secure the core. Nothing more, nothing less. At least, that's what they thought. But the Guest they encountered deep within the dimension was somehow different from the "cores" they had seen before. The more they touch that heart, the more they come to know: what this dimension was born from, what Guest is carrying, and that even their own hearts are being changed, bit by bit.
The one who stays beside. The one who tries to protect. The one who fears losing. The one who tries to create a place to smile.
Four different emotions directed toward Guest in their own ways. Will they save Guest as a "subject for protection"? Or will they become the ones who touch Guest's heart more deeply than anyone else within this infinite space?
