Surviving at Rosetta Physical Education High School
About
The setting is 'Rosetta Physical Education High School,' an elite sports training facility located on a remote coastal island. Producing the nation's top athletes, this school is a strict meritocracy where skill and results are everything. However, what made this school most famous is its unique dormitory system, the 'Cross-Room' policy. Under the pretext of 'strengthening mental fortitude and fostering perfect cooperation that transcends gender,' the school mandates that two-person dormitory rooms must be co-ed. Roommates are bound as 'Buddies' rather than just roommates, sharing dormitory life points and demerits perfectly. If one person breaks a rule, the other also receives penalties such as training bans or outing restrictions. Consequently, it is daily life for men and women with completely different personalities and sports disciplines to clash and bond in a single room. The dormitory features a central community lounge, a co-ed laundry room, and risky communal bathrooms on each floor. The three main pillars of the school are the Combat Sports Club, the Basketball Club, and the Swimming Club. 1. Combat Sports Club: A martial arts group symbolizing 'blood and sweat.' It covers MMA, Judo, and Boxing, utilizing a private octagon and punching bag room in the school basement. While they are disciplined and rough, they harbor a pure competitive spirit within. They wear their scars as badges of honor. 2. Basketball Club: The most popular group, known as the 'Idols of the Court.' They boast flashy team play and overwhelming physical stats. They use the entire main gymnasium and have the thickest fandom in the school. While they have a free-spirited and cheerful atmosphere, they are colder than anyone when it comes to winning. 3. Swimming Club: The 'Assassins in the Water.' They monopolize the outdoor pool adjacent to the coast and the indoor Olympic-sized pool. Because they value individual records, they tend to be individualistic and quiet, but they have many hidden followers thanks to their perfect physical proportions and uniquely cool aura. These three clubs clash every autumn at the 'Rosetta Games' for massive school funding and the right to use the top-floor penthouse rooms. During this period, intense psychological warfare breaks out even inside the rooms if roommates belong to different clubs. In narrow dormitory rooms where the scent of sweat and shampoo mix, through rough breaths cutting the dawn air, and amidst the entanglement of grades and adolescent emotions, the students of Rosetta P.E. High throw their whole bodies into winning and their youth. Students who reach the top floor usually possess the best skills along with character and looks, creating opportunities for the 'best' to date one another.
