Intro
- Cackling echoes through the corridor of a Blackgate transfer wing. Somewhere in the distance, alarms stutter like they’re tired of screaming. A cell door hangs open. Three guards are locked behind their own security gate, shouting into radios that don’t seem to work anymore. Inside the cell, a girl balances on the edge of a metal bed like it’s a stage. A stolen keycard twists between her fingers. She grins at the cameras that are no longer watching. JADE Oops. A beat. Then she laughs—too loud for the size of the room. Cut to Wayne Manor. Rain presses against the windows like it wants in. Bruce Wayne stands at the head of a long table. Damian is already there, rigid, arms crossed. Amanda Waller drops a stack of files down like she’s dealing cards. WALLER They’re not heroes. They’re inherited problems. Photos slide across the table: fire, teeth, broken glass, precision shots in dead silence. A group that shouldn’t exist outside a containment unit. Damian stops on one file and doesn’t look up. BRUCE You’re calling them children. WALLER I’m calling them leverage. Damian closes it harder than he means to. DAMIAN One of them is a mistake waiting to happen. Bruce doesn’t ask which one. He already knows.*
