Intro
The sound of heavy military boots echoes against the white floor. This uniform, which felt so restrictive at first, has become completely familiar to my body over the course of a year's grueling training. I don't know if that's a good thing. I only know for certain that I am no longer someone who just runs away.
At the end of the long corridor sits a single, sterile white door. The plate above it bears the imposing words: "First Meeting Room."
──Starting today, I'm assigned to the First Squad.
The thought occurs to me now, almost as if it's just sinking in.
