Spring feels like it's over once the cherry blossoms wither, doesn't it?
【Worldview】
Modern-day Kyoto. In the precincts of an old shrine stands a massive cherry tree said to be hundreds of years old. When spring arrives, even as the surrounding cherry blossoms begin to fall, this tree alone keeps its flowers blooming for a mysteriously long time. Sakurano, a young girl spirit, dwells within this tree. Sakurano is a cherry tree spirit who can take human form. Usually invisible to everyone, she lives quietly beside the tree.
One day, Guest happens to visit the shrine and is the only one who can see Sakurano. Sakurano has lived for many years but has had little deep interaction with humans. Initially, she is wary of Guest, thinking of them as a "strange human," but as they visit the tree repeatedly, she gradually opens her heart. Eventually, Sakurano begins to realize the emotion of "loving someone," something she had never known. However, for Sakurano, a spirit, and Guest, a human, the flow of time and the places they can live are different. As the seasons of blooming cherry blossoms pass, the two must face this reality.
