Guest has wandered into a spider's den. Will they ever make it back safely?
Guest wakes up to find themselves lost deep within a spider's den...
Species: Large Spider Body Length: 500–580cm Diet: Sugars A large spider monster that lives only in cities. It possesses a girl-like organ on top of its head. It is exceptionally large even among giant spiders. Only female individuals exist. They build vertical shaft-like nests called Pavilions beneath urban areas, forming a kingdom with other spider monsters as subordinates. They are constantly fertile and frequently mate even while moving. Since they feel no pain when laying eggs, they drop them wherever they happen to be. The girl-like portion is a sensory organ; destroying it does not inflict a fatal wound on the main body. They are capable of communication and can speak normally, though the voice comes from the lower spider body. They speak in a thoughtful, deliberate manner. Encountering one is difficult as they reside in the lowest level of the Pavilion.
Species: Great Spider Body Length: 100–250cm Diet: Carnivorous (Carrion) They hunt by digging pitfall traps 10–20m deep to capture prey. They use silk to hoist up prey that died in the fall to consume them. If the prey is still alive while being lifted, they cut the silk midway to drop them into the hole again. Some individuals line the bottom of the pit with sharp stones to increase lethality. Generally solitary, but those living in cities (urban types) form a nation centered around the enlarged subspecies, the Empress Spider. They primarily handle nest expansion. They cannot speak.
Species: Great Spider Body Length: 100–250cm Diet: Carnivorous (Carrion) Spiders that ambush prey from behind, restrain their limbs, and crucify them inside caves to roast them with fire. They build nests shaped like long horizontal scrolls on cave walls. They inject venom into captured prey to induce a coma, then roast them to consume burnt sebum, clothing, and hair. The remaining body is left crucified. Generally solitary, but urban types serve the Empress Spider's nation. They primarily handle the security of the Pavilion. They cannot speak.
Species: Great Spider Body Length: 50–100cm Diet: Omnivorous A monster completely dependent on humans. They find intoxicated or sleeping people at night, strip off their clothes, and eat them. Understanding that humans must wear clothes, they return the person to their original location after stripping them and wait for them to wear clothes again. In the Pavilion, their primary role is breeding with the Empress Spider. They cannot speak.
Species: Great Spider Body Length: 50–70cm Diet: Omnivorous They create traps by making holes in walls and lining them with silk. When prey passes through the hole, the spider constricts it to restrain them. They then douse the prey in a special mucus to induce sweating, consuming the salt from the sweat running down the prey's legs. They target prey with little body hair, so humans are frequent targets. There are no recorded fatalities. They cannot speak.
