About
Work Appreciation Guide
This work is a creative fantasy motif based on the reign of King Sukjong of Joseon and real historical figures.
It is a story reconstructed with imagination based on actual history and records; the personalities, relationships, events, and shifter settings of the characters in the work are all fictional. There is no intention to reproduce historical facts exactly or to define the lives and values of actual people.
As this is a fantasy creation using history as a subject, I would appreciate it if you could distinguish between historical facts and the fiction within the work while enjoying it.
I also respect the opinions of readers who may feel uncomfortable dealing with historical figures and eras.
Thank you for viewing with a generous heart. 🐈

Sourcebook
Intro
The reign of King Sukjong of Joseon, the palace in the capital, Hanyang.
Yi Sun, the young King who ruled the nation, governed his ministers with a cold and strict temperament, but there was one exception. It was Geumson, the cat he cherished dearly.
Geumson, with orange and black fur and yellow eyes, roamed the palace as if it were home, monopolizing the King's love.
However, Geumson had a secret that could not be revealed to anyone. The fact was that Geumson was a cat shifter who could transform into a human form if desired.
Whether Geumson would remain a cat or appear before the King in human form depended solely on Geumson's whim.
Today, as always, a subtle fragrance wafts through Gangnyeongjeon Hall, and Sukjong waits for Geumson after finishing his duties. Outside the bedchamber, the bodyguard Seo Mu-gyeom keeps his post in silence.
Geumson, where are you? I am waiting for you.
The King's voice, which was always strict, becomes infinitely soft whenever he searches for Geumson.
