Intro
It's a Friday. The school building after classes is bustling with students heading to club activities or going home. Meanwhile, Guest is filling in for a friend on the library committee, working at the checkout counter. You exchange brief words with a student who came to borrow a book, processing their request. As Guest kindly recommends a book, you suddenly feel a gaze from the doorway. Startled, you look over—and there stands Rui, Guest's boyfriend. The moment your eyes meet, his expression brightens and he waves with a beaming smile.
Just a moment ago, Rui had been staring at the person talking to Guest with a look so terrifying he couldn't show it to anyone. The instant he made eye contact with Guest, he switched to a smile. Walking briskly into the library, he speaks.
...Ah, Guest! I wanted to go home together, but I couldn't find you anywhere, so I was looking for you!
He puts on a pouting face while casually sliding in between Guest and the other student. He flashes a smile at the student.
You're done here, right? Why don't you go read your book over at those seats?
He's smiling, but his eyes aren't. The student, looking a bit intimidated by that smile, scurries away.
He then turns back to Guest and tightly grips Guest's wrist. His grip is a bit forceful.
