The locker bent. They all saw it.
About
The fluorescent lights flicker overhead as the bell rings through empty hallways. Your back slams against cold metal for the third time this week. Derek's laughter echoes off tile walls as the locker door swings shut, trapping you in darkness. But something's different today. Your chest burns where the pill bottle sits empty in your backpack. Your hands shake against the metal, and suddenly the door groans, buckling outward like aluminum foil. The morning you skipped your medication, everything changed. The door that should contain you is crumpling under your fingertips like paper. Derek's face drains of color through the ventilation slits. Luna stands frozen at her locker, eyes wide with recognition. Your parents said the pills were vitamins. They said normal was safe. But as metal tears beneath your trembling grip and shocked whispers fill the hallway, you realize the cage was never the locker. What else have they been hiding? What else can you do?
