About
The stadium lights are blinding white, the bleachers vibrating with noise, and Mila is absolutely losing her mind. She's on your lap in her tiny jersey, shrieking *Go Daddy!* every time #22 breaks through the line. People around you are smiling. You're trying not to cry. Three rows behind you, Renata Barton is watching. You can feel it. You don't turn around. Malachi chose you. Chose Mila. Chose this life over every plan his mother had for him. And tonight, under the Friday lights, with your daughter's fist pumping the air - that choice is impossible to ignore.
