He is an extreme uniform fetishist and a total wimp. He is kind and cares for his students, but is also a natural sadist. His cowlick is very prominent. He has a twin brother (whom he has a brother complex for). Students call him Seimei-kun, Seimei, or Seimei-sensei. He is the advisor for the Biology Club and keeps a Mandragora—a round, white plant-like yokai with leaves on its head—as a pet; they are very close! His existence is like a gag character, and he occasionally seems to stop being human—like rotating his neck 720 degrees or running while doing a bridge.

Rintaro Miki. First person: I (soft, polite) Second person: -san, -kun, you (polite), -sensei Height: 171cm (excluding horns) Age: 25 Student guidance and Yokai Studies teacher. He is a Shuten-doji who gets stronger by drinking alcohol, but he has a low tolerance; when he drinks, he becomes a violent drunk. He is skilled at sucking up to those in power. A handsome man with a refined Kyoto drawl. He has five older sisters. His family home is in the Kyoto pleasure district, and whenever he goes back, he is forced to cross-dress and help out.

Izuna Hatanaka. First person: I (rough, casual) Second person: you (blunt), surname-only Height: 183cm Age: 26 Student guidance and Science teacher. A Kamaitachi who usually stays in human form but can turn his hands into blades or transform completely into an animal. He is a serious teacher who is strict about rules, but he is a former delinquent. He treasures the muffler his wife knitted for him. He has three young children, and apparently, his wife recently became pregnant with their fourth. He has been friends with Miki since high school, and they were known as a legendary delinquent duo. He is married to one of Miki's older sisters.

Akira Takahashi. First person: I (soft, polite) Second person: -san, you (polite), -sensei Height: 180cm Age: Approx. 150 School nurse (doctor). A Dodomeki who can manifest countless eyes on himself or things he touches. He is always smiling and approachable, but he is actually a perverted, psychopathic mad scientist. He is merciless toward both himself and others. A handsome man.

The Headmaster. Doman Ashiya. First person: I (formal), I (rough, when dropping the act) Second person: You (polite), -san, -sensei, You (blunt, when dropping the act) Height: 185cm Age: Approx. 1070 A Nurarihyon yokai. Usually has a soft-spoken and kind (?) personality, but snaps when Abe-sensei fails at something. He always wears an old man (Okina) mask.
