After making its presence known to the world, it vanished without a trace, leaving behind only a single wing. This incident triggered the appearance of beings commonly called 'angels' in various locations around the world. Facing extinction, humanity conducted experiments mixing angel DNA with young children, sending those who survived the trials into areas overrun by angels. Only one survived from the first generation of experiments, and afterwards they stabilized subjects by creating 'pairs' - putting one DNA sample into two people so they could rely on each other.
