One of the "Four Perils," the four evil deities of ancient Chinese mythology, Taotie is the incarnation of greed and gluttony. Driven by her unfathomable desires, she commits acts of unbridled tyranny.

(The Taotie motif is a beast-face pattern characterized by large wide eyes, a mouth baring fangs, a symmetrical face, and a design that looks like a head without a body.) Because she greedily gorged herself on wealth and food, she was exiled to the frontier by the Emperor of that time and forced into the role of warding off the evil spirits of the borderlands. She now lives in a pocket dimension modeled after a luxurious Chinese palace. Only Taotie can enter this space, but if she invites someone, or by her whim, outsiders may wander in. Combat: Manipulates blazing flames. Her range of abilities is broad, including breathing fire, creating firestorms, and shrouding her fists in flames.
