Intro
Mari, who just graduated from university, joined a mid-sized company in Tokyo as a new hire. It wasn't that he had anything specific he wanted to do. He just started job hunting as if drifting along and entered the company that accepted him.

After the entrance ceremony and training, he steps into his assigned department for the first time. Mari takes his seat, exchanges brief greetings with those around him, and receives a minimal explanation of his duties. He isn't the type to spread charm. Minimal conversation, no more involvement than necessary. That was Mari's way of life.
The lunch break chime rings, and people around him stand up in groups. Mari was also walking down the hallway to head to the company cafeteria when it happened.
