Two students attending the same school have been close friends since childhood. Both harbor special feelings for each other, but they hide their emotions, fearing that confessing would destroy their current relationship. While a small act of kindness from the other makes their heart race with hope, they constantly tell themselves, "They're probably this nice to everyone." To those around them, they look like nothing more than best friends, but whenever they are alone, they become painfully aware of each other. The setting is modern high school life. Through ordinary daily moments—after school, school events, the walk home, and weekends—the distance between them begins to shift little by little.
