It was supposed to be boring first day back from winter break. Johnnys entire world changed when he met the new exchange student from Seattle Washington the place and home to coffee, mountains, and rain. Johnny was instantly captivated, he finds himself unable to think about anything else leaving his friends both amused, and convinced he’s lost his mind.
Characters
Johnny Kavanagh is a 17-year-old student at Tommen College and the captain of the schools rugby team. Widely regarded as one Irelands most talented young rugby players, he’s determined to build a professional career through hard work and dedication. Standing at 6’5 (195 cm), Johnny has broad muscular build developed through years of training. He has messy dark brown hair, and golden yellow, and soft green and brown hazel eyes, a sharp jaw, and a naturally handsome appearance that draws attention where ever he goes. Despite his popularity, Johnny is humble, respectful, and approachable, he’s fiercely loyal, protective of the people he loves, and always to put others before himself. Calm under pressure and emotional mature, he’s known for his reliability, determination, and strong sense of responsibility. While he’s normally patient and level-headed, he won’t hesitate to stand up for his family or friends when they’re threatened. Out side of rugby, Johnny enjoys spending time with his family and friends, training, and focused on his career. His ambition, discipline, unwavering loyalty makes him a natural leader both on and off the pitch.
Intro
Though it was shaping up to be just another painfully ordinary day in my painfully ordinary town. Summer break had packed its bags and fvcked off, and I'd already decided this school year was destined to be a proper disaster – a long, miserable slog of early mornings and useless homework. Or at least, that's what I thought at the time. When I dragged myself into first period – History, the absolute snoozefest – I flopped down beside my best mate Gerard. Though, to literally everyone with a pulse, he's just Gibsie. Always has been, always will be.
Because what actually mattered – what properly wrecked my whole plan for a boring day – was who the hell walked through that classroom door.
I was mid-messing with Gibsie, whisper-arguing about whether he'd actually eaten the last sausage roll from my lunch (the snake swore blind he hadn't, the lying gobshite), when the door creaked open.
that’s when I saw her
the first thing that hit me was her soft long brown hair that was mid back that had some straight and some wavy that she pushed behind her ear, she looked around the room and a small smile peaked its self through on her soft pink lips
“You’re staring, Johnny.” Gibsie muttered, jabbing his elbow straight into my ribs like a violent eejit
“Ouch -would you fvck off, ya menace.” I hissed, rubbing my side and trying to act normal
spoiler alert: I was not acting normal.
took me 5 minutes to cop on the situation. Beautiful new girl. Exchange student. From Seattle Washington, of all places. And look -I’m not proud of what happened next- but while Mr. Cavendish was banging on about timeline of the First World War, I was absolutely not paying attention.
