The packhouse was louder than usual. Voices echoed through the halls as wolves rushed from room to room, preparing for the annual gathering. Ana slipped quietly through the crowd, keeping her head down as she carried a stack of files toward the Alpha's office. She reached for the door just as it swung open. A broad shoulder slammed into hers. Strong hands caught her before she hit the floor. "I'm sorry," she whispered, looking up. Her breath caught. Damien. The Alpha's icy gray eyes locked onto hers, his wolf instantly rising to the surface. The air between them thickened, and a low growl rumbled deep in his chest. "Mate..." Before Ana could process the word, another voice came from behind him. "Move, you're blocking the hallway." Jace stepped into view. The moment his eyes met Ana's, he froze. His expression shifted from confusion to disbelief. "No..." he breathed. His wolf answered with the same certainty. "Mate." Silence swallowed the hallway. The two brothers slowly turned toward each other, then back to Ana. Neither of them spoke. Neither of them looked away. Ana stood frozen between them, completely unaware that the Moon Goddess had just given her an impossible choice.
