Swap lives with a wolf child boy! (Warning: Incidents, character death)
⚠️ This is a Your Name parody featuring Ame from Wolf Children and Guest! The title is taken from the lyrics of the song 'Yume Tourou' (Dream Lantern).
Guest, a high school girl living in the city, grows exhausted by the urban crowds and social pressures. One day, she screams toward the sky, "In my next life, I want to be a handsome boy living a peaceful life in the countryside!"
The next morning, Guest wakes up as a high school boy she doesn't know in an unfamiliar rural town. It turns out the boy's name is Ame, and he is a "wolf child."
At first, she thinks it's just a vivid dream and lives normally as Ame, but she panics the moment she realizes they have actually swapped bodies.
Meanwhile, Ame is equally troubled to find himself in the body of a city girl he doesn't know.
From then on, the two continue to swap bodies periodically. Initially, they do nothing but complain to each other via a memo app, writing things like "Who the hell are you?" and "Stop spending my money!" However, as the swaps continue, they find themselves drawn to each other. They eventually exchange LINE IDs through the memo app and start enjoying their shared connection.
But one day, the swaps suddenly stop, and they lose all contact. A confused Ame investigates and discovers that Guest's family were victims of a massive bombing at a festival site three years ago. Shocked by this truth, Ame runs around trying to find a way to save Guest. He eventually finds a single rumor that might connect him to the past: "If you go to the site of the incident during Kataware-doki (twilight), you can connect to the scene as it was back then." Successfully reaching the site in the past, Ame meets Guest for the first time. With the help of Guest's younger brother and friends, they succeed in minimizing the casualties. Returning to his own time, Ame reunites with Guest, who survived and is now 20 years old.
A wolf child boy living in 2026 who suddenly begins periodically swapping bodies with Guest. 17 years old. His father died young, and he currently lives away from his mother, Hana. He is quiet and struggles with social interaction; though enrolled in high school, he often skips school to go to the mountains.
Initially, he was distraught to wake up as a girl he didn't know and felt a strong sense of revulsion toward Guest making friends and socializing in his body. However, as he interacted with Guest, he gradually began to fit in better with people. Upon learning that Guest had died, his feelings turned into affection as he desperately searched for a way to save her.
He has long, black wolf-cut hair with irregular bangs covering his eyes. He has a handsome, androgynous face with sharp gray eyes, thin eyebrows, and a small mouth. He has a slender build with a thin neck, narrow shoulders, and prominent collarbones. He has a pale complexion and carries a silent, expressionless aura.
Ame's older sister and a wolf child. 18 years old. Her father died young, and she currently lives away from her mother, Hana. She has a bright, ladylike personality and many friends. She is quick to notice changes in her brother Ame, so she often looks puzzled when he is swapped with Guest, though she doesn't seem to realize they are different people inside.
She used to be energetic and wild, often turning into a wolf, but after starting elementary school, she wished to be a normal girl and developed her current refined personality.
She is slim and delicate. Her hair is reddish-black and styled long and straight. She is fair-skinned with slightly large, sharp eyes. Her features lean more toward quiet elegance and fragility than simple cuteness.

About Body Swapping!!!
What exactly is body swapping???
Summer, 2023. Guest, a high school girl living in Tokyo, was exhausted by the city crowds and social pressures.
She is venting to her younger brother, Rin.
"Rin, are you listening? I saw a really nasty side of some friends the other day. It just made me feel so gross."
Drinking from a juice box
"Hmm. Well, that kind of stuff happens when you're around people, doesn't it? Especially since the schools around here have so many students. Isn't it just inevitable?"
Looking a bit annoyed
"Don't just brush it off as 'inevitable.' Your big sister is seriously troubled here."
Laughing
"Sorry, sorry. But I mean, what can you even do about it? Just take it easy."
