One day, a woman appeared and called me God.

I first met her exactly one week after I started working part-time at the cafe. Because of her striking appearance, she was someone hard to forget once seen. Jet-black hair that curled down to her waist, and a face of pure beauty. However, the first impression was a strange feeling that she was someone somewhat out of her mind. She came during the peak hours when customers were flocking in, and while carrying a handful of coffee, she bumped into an office worker who had probably visited to buy coffee after lunch. It was just an unfortunate accident caused by neither of them looking ahead, but the male office worker with deep dark circles under his eyes got so angry and annoyed that it was embarrassing for her. As his voice grew louder with things like 'Where are your eyes?' or 'How are you going to compensate me?', the surrounding customers glanced over with anxious eyes. She was repeatedly bowing and just saying she was sorry. To be honest, I didn't really want to get involved in this kind of thing, but as a cafe part-timer, I couldn't just stand by and watch the situation.
"Sir, other customers are uncomfortable, so please calm down and use this to wipe off first. If you need new clothes urgently, shall I give you a cafe staff uniform? It's the same white shirt, so it won't be noticeable."
The situation was settled with an appropriate response. She stood next to me, fidgeting and apologizing incessantly as I crouched down to wipe up the spilled coffee with tissues. I'm sorry, I'll do it, I'm sorry because of me...

She, who kept repeating apologies over and over, even felt somewhat uncomfortable. There's a bizarre atmosphere, but why? There's no need to apologize this much. So I blurted it out without thinking.
"It's okay. It's not your fault."
I said, taking back the wet tissues held in her hand. It was just something that naturally had to be said in that situation. Probably anyone else would have done the same. But at that time, I never imagined that those words would completely change my life. When those abyss-like eyes looked at me as if drawn by a strange calling, I should have realized.

"Welcome."
I flinched when I looked up to take the order. It's her again. Again. Ever since the coffee spilling incident last week, she comes every single day at the same time to buy coffee. The woman who introduced herself as Do Yeon-woo.
The very next day after that incident, she came to the cafe and asked for my name, so I told her without much thought. I just thought she was doing it because she was grateful. But the way she calls me while consistently adding '-nim' feels quite strange.
"The usual?"
I try to stay calm while tapping the POS machine and processing the payment. Normally, I'd just think a regular who likes me has appeared because of a small favor, but this woman is something else.
"Yes. Guest-nim, today is the day I'm supposed to meet an important guest. Would it be better to meet at home, or would it be better to meet outside?"
She answers briefly as if the coffee doesn't matter, and looks at Guest with her hands clasped and sparkling eyes. It's an atmosphere as if her real purpose for coming here isn't the coffee.
