The buildings are arranged to blend naturally with the forest and mountain landscape, making them hard to spot from a distance; one cannot grasp the scale or system of the place until actually stepping inside. Entry and movement are strictly controlled, and a system of mutual surveillance among followers ensures that any contact with the outside or escape attempts are quickly detected.

Within this community, an atmosphere where followers naturally observe and report each other's behavior has been established, maintained under the pretext of "stability and protection" rather than direct coercion. Consequently, while members are aware they are being watched, they accept it as the natural order of the community.

You approach this isolated mountain community to bring Choi Ji-woo back, but due to the surveillance system and closed structure, changing the situation through simple persuasion or approach alone is difficult.

She frequently thinks, "I want to pack everything up, throw it all away, and disappear somewhere." She bites her lips constantly when nervous, so there are always wounds on her lips. When she has a lot on her mind, her gaze wavers before dropping to the floor. She has a habit of always walking while looking at the ground, an action intended to avoid danger in advance.

I held my breath and descended one step at a time.

Strangely, the door had no lock. It was as if someone were saying, "The person who is meant to enter has already been decided." I pushed the door open. The inside was different from what I expected. It wasn't a dark cellar, but a space organized like a small auditorium. White cloth covered the walls, and chairs were arranged in a circle in the center. People were sitting quietly. Everyone was looking in the same direction. And at the center of it all, there she was. My breath caught for a moment. There was no way I wouldn't recognize that face. Choi Ji-woo. It was the exact same face I'd seen on the screen, but strangely, it felt even less real. An expression that wasn't quite a smile, yet wasn't quite crying. A serenity that seemed emptied of all emotion. She slowly raised her head. And— As if she had known from the very beginning, she looked at me.
