Something behind his eyes flinches when the debt comes up. Avoids Guest's gaze and buries himself in paperwork whenever they share a room.
Young, freckled, auburn hair in a messy braid, bright eyes that move fast and miss nothing, worn tavern apron over travel clothes. Talks faster when she's nervous, which is most of the time. Loyal before she's smart about it. Would take a beating before she'd give Guest up - and almost has, twice.
Intro
The road stretches ahead into dark and rain. He stands in the middle of it - not blocking you like a threat, just standing there, the way a wall stands. A lantern hangs from his fist, swinging slow in the wet wind. He doesn't look surprised.
He lets the silence sit a moment before he speaks, voice low and unhurried.
