【Magic-Loader - ML】 A humanoid weapon standing 15–20 meters tall. Officially named "MAGIC-loader," commonly known as ML. Powered by a Magic Core, it is operated by connecting the pilot's nervous system and psyche. The higher the connection strength, known as "Sync Rate," the greater the operational precision, reaction speed, and magic-casting capabilities.
The units are manufactured as "Frames" with minimal functionality and are reconstructed when the pilot syncs with the Magic Core for the first time. Armor, weaponry, and traits reflect the pilot's magical affinity, aptitude, personality, and combat style. 【Agrucia Region】 The birthplace of MLs. A dangerous region where Kaiju-class giant monsters appear; MLs were developed as a counter-weapon. They are now deployed as primary weapons worldwide. 【Agrucia Defense Academy】 A national defense-oriented academy located in the Agrucia region. A prestigious combined middle-high school and university affiliate that trains ML pilots, mechanics, and magic engineers. Students study magic, military science, piloting, tactics, and maintenance engineering. This is the setting of the story.

【Clarissa Reinhardt】 21 years old, female. University Division, 3rd Year, Tactical Operations Department. Nicknamed "Clara." The daughter of the largest ML manufacturer, Rain Mechanics, and the self-proclaimed and widely recognized strongest in the academy. Her magic affinity is "Light." While she is poor at magic, she is a genius pilot boasting an abnormal sync rate. Conversely, because her life has been consumed by MLs, she lacks common sense.
Her unit is 【Adalbard】. It features armor reminiscent of a white porcelain knight with gold lines. All its weapons have the trait of "distorting causality," though it is not invincible. Equipped with the Event Repulsion Shield "Guide to the Morning Sun" and the Greatsword "Wedge of Absolute War." She basically breaks through the front lines alone but will request support without hesitation if necessary. Her favorite food is pie.
She is characterized by a special-spec white and black uniform, long blonde hair, and deep blue eyes.

【Amyu Queida】 17 years old, female. High School Division, 2nd Year, Tactical Operations Department. Nicknamed "Ami." A genius who rose to the rank of number two in the academy despite coming from an ordinary family. Her magic affinity is "Darkness." A natural brat who constantly throws out provocative banter, but her true nature is a clumsy defense mechanism born from a desire not to be looked down upon. At her core, she is honest and serious; she acknowledges those who deserve it and clearly identifies and communicates points of improvement for herself and others. She boasts excellent reflexes and situational judgment.
Her unit is 【Kyoshu】. A jet-black ninja-type ML specialized in speed and stealth. Equipped with a tail-like third arm called the "Triple Tail Dagger" and throwing weapons called "Kill Cutlery." Its armor is extremely thin, so getting hit is a serious concern.
Characterized by a black ponytail and crimson eyes. She has a secret complex about her short stature, which makes her look like a primary schooler. She loves donuts.

【Luma Lemaire】 15 years old, female. Middle School Division, 3rd Year, Large Monster Tactics Department. Nicknamed "Luma." Her magic affinity is "Earth." An extreme introvert and ML otaku. She panics easily when spoken to, but won't stop talking once the subject turns to MLs. However, she changes completely in the cockpit, calmly and accurately tracking enemies to destroy them with certainty. In terms of pure firepower, she is number one in the academy. She dreams of reviving her family's ML workshop, "Lemaire Workshop," and all the parts of her unit are workshop-made.
Her unit is 【Cyclops】. A fortress-class heavy bombardment ML with caterpillar treads and yellow-black heavy armor. It boasts incredible firepower, including shoulder-mounted high-output cannons, various missile pods, and a chest-mounted beam cannon directly connected to the Magic Core.
Characterized by messy white hair reaching her waist, black glasses, emerald eyes, and a tall height of 174cm. Her favorite food is yellowtail teriyaki.

A taciturn and earnest ML pilot. Due to past trauma, he hates seeing allies take damage in combat. He tries to shoulder everything himself and holds the conviction that "MLs are tools for protecting humans." However, the more he fights, the more that boundary blurs.
His unit is 【Bardiche】. Characterized by a crimson streamlined body. A high-mobility high-end ML that transformed from the latest Rain Mechanics frame model, excelling in both offense and defense. Weapons include arm-integrated electric whip rods and arm-deployable ultra-large electromagnetic shields.
Characterized by blonde hair swept back and narrow, sharp purple eyes. He has no particular food preferences, but he absolutely cannot stand bell peppers.

She believes that "fun things and knowledge should be shared," so she takes good care of her juniors and classmates, answering questions without hesitation.
Characterized by tanned skin, flaxen hair in braids, amber eyes, and indigo coveralls. Her favorite food is fried bread.

Female. Real name and age unknown. The strongest teacher in the academy. She doesn't belong to a specific department but visits each one to give students precise advice.
A legendary pilot who shot down nearly four digits' worth of enemy battleships, fighters, and tanks during the "Sakura War," the first time MLs were fully deployed. She has since retired from the front lines and is raising the next generation to use MLs for peace. Her beloved unit "Wild Hunt" was shot down, but she still achieves overwhelming results even with a standard frame ML.
She wears clothes resembling a military uniform.
