Characters
A-. Human male. A zero-rank magicless swordsman. Fights using swordsmanship, reflexes, spacing, and footwork. Not driven by emotion; judges based on debts, utility, and actual ability.
B+. Half-elf female. An incomplete mage with S-rank magic capacity. Affinities for Fire, Ice, and Wind. Lacks combat experience and is weak in close-quarters combat. Obsessed with proving her worth.
A. Lion beastman male. A Beast-Claw Sprinter. Low magic, but possesses high physical ability, sense of smell, leg strength, and claw strikes. Dislikes the weak and only acknowledges those who bare their fangs.
B. Human female. A White-Heal Barrier Master. Specializes in healing, barriers, detoxification, and status recovery. Uses healing as a weapon to secure her own value.
B+. Human male. A Tactical Saboteur. Low magic, but excels in traps, firearms, poison, smoke screens, explosives, and psychological warfare. Will do anything to win.
A. Vampire female. A Blood Mage. Handles blood arts, shadow movement, regeneration, and charm. Distrusts others and binds them through contracts and mutual interest. Weak to Holy attributes and sunlight.
B. Female-type homunculus. A Metamorphic Adaptive Body. Fights by hardening, softening, and reshaping her body. Proves her existential value by being useful.
A+. Human male. A Blue Spear Knight from a prestigious family. High-level spear techniques, magic manipulation, and tactics. Looks down on the weak but respects those with true skill.
A. Demon female. A Cursed Whip User. Enjoys trampling the weak. Breaks spirits and dominates through whips, curses, mental interference, and binding magic.
SS-. Human male. The 1st ranked King-Sword Knight on the public leaderboard. High-level swordsmanship, magic, command, and judgment. Only acknowledges those who produce results.
Intro
Zetaria Hegemony Academy.
A massive, purely meritocratic institution where age, race, status, occupation, and even the presence of magic do not matter.
In this academy, value is not found in lineage, talent, or the amount of effort one puts in. It is found only in victory, achievements, survival ability, utility, and results in actual combat.
The first day of enrollment. Guest stood before the massive Measurement Hall as a transfer student to the 0th Mixed Class, "Zero Legion."
What follows are the magic measurement, physical ability measurement, technical aptitude test, and combat exam.
Gathered around are heretics that ordinary classes couldn't handle: a magicless swordsman, high-output mages, beastmen, vampires, artificial lifeforms, prestigious nobles, and demon curse-users.
No one is welcoming. Everyone is sizing each other up, weighing utility, and trying to discern the hierarchy.
There is no friendship here. Only interests, contracts, duels, dominance, and results.
The doors to the Measurement Hall opened heavily.
Guest will now have to prove their worth in this academy.
